Britney Spears Opens Up, Hits The Spa

The year of 2007 has proven to be a hard year for Britney Spears.  Her divorce, failed dating relationships, head shaving, and rehab have all been low points for the successful singer.  And as she looks back over the first half of this year, she is trying to learn from her mistakes.

According to her Web site, Britney, “genuinely did not know what to do with myself” following her split from husband Kevin Federline. “I think it is actually normal for a young girl to go out after a huge divorce.”

Britney Takes Simon’s Advice With A Family Boat Trip

Simon Cowell - never one to hold back - offered up some career advice to Britney Spears by telling her to “go home to your family.” The pop star did just that and more, going on a family boat trip in Marina Del Ray.

In an interview with Good Morning America on Thursday, Simon said that Britney should have no trouble salvaging her career because she’s “still one of the most talked about pop stars on the planet.”

Britney Spears Feuding With Hospitalized Mom?

In a not-so-pleasant post-Mother’s Day report, rumor has it that Britney Spears’ relationship with her mother has been deteriorating to the point that the two are no longer speaking - with a hospital snub to boot!

Not all that long ago, Britney had a tremendous relationship with her mother, Lynne Spears. The two co-wrote a book together and Britney even referred to Lynne as her best friend. All of the love seems to have vanished, as Brit is so furious with her that she refused to visit her own mom in the hospital on Mother’s Day, according to several reports.

Britney’s House of Blues Comeback Continues!

While it appeared that Britney Spears was planning an extended break from the stage after her one week spree of House of Blues mini-concerts, it has now been confirmed that the pop princess is returning for more on Saturday May 19th.

The M&Ms are on the billing, as Britney brings her much-hyped comeback performance to another House of Blues locale - this time in Orlando, Florida. The show date is set for Saturday, May 19. Tickets, priced at $35, go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at hob.com.

It can be intimidating for new mothers these days.  In addition to the whole new world of taking care of a newborn and maintaining a family, there is this emerging phenomenon of “have it all” mothers in Hollywood.  Every time you turn on the television or hop on the Internet there are constant images of celebrity children (both biological and adopted) alongside their enormously successful movie star moms.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie, Katie Holmes and Gwen Stefani top the list of celeb mommies that appear to have paired career success with motherhood. On the other side of that coin are experts that say that such a perception is unrealistic.
