Taking a break from thrilling movie theater audiences, Rachel Weisz was spotted doing some work on a photo shoot yesterday in New York City’s hipster East Village.

The “Runaway Jury” babe looked lavish in a vibrant red costume as she posed like a pro for the Vogue spread, with a jack-o-lantern-faced prop that hinted at a Halloween issue appearance.

Rachel Weisz was at the Roseland Ballroom last night, attending the MacDowell Colony Centennial Gala.  She even did a reading from Alice Sebold’s novel “The Lovely Bones,” and she’s currently filming a movie based on the book.

And believe it or not, the “Fred Claus” actress is still not married.  Sure, she’s been dating the same guy (director Darren Aronofsky) for six years and even has an 18-month-old son by him, but they’re yet to tie the knot.

This past Thursday, Roger Federer was honored for his recent US Open Championship series win with a dinner at Wakiya in the Gramercy Park Hotel. And while New Yorkers always love a champion, what made this Men’s Vogue hosted party surprising was the names on the guest list.

With just two weeks to go before the start of the annual fashion show in New York, most of the major designers decided to take a break from their hectic schedules to put in an appearance. Francisco Costa explained that he needed to recharge his batteries since he “was in the studio until 1 last night, and until 8 today.”
