Friday, July 11, 2008 Alicia Keys: Doing it for the Kids
Part of being an uber-successful celebrity is giving back to the less fortunate. And Alicia Keys was spotted in London last night hamming it up at her charity benefit. The “Fallin” singer brought her half-brother Cole as her date to the Alicia Keys Keep a Child Alive Black Ball held at St. John’s Smith Square. posted by at 08:23 AM | (0) comments |

Since her mainstream career began in 2001, Alicia Keys has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide. And she was in New York City this morning to kick off the Today show’s Summer Concert Series. She definitely brought her A-game to the Today stage, kicking off her performance with the hit single “Teenage Love Affair.” And, as could be expected, the outdoor crowd loved every minute. posted by at 02:15 PM | (0) comments |

Alicia Keys has made her highly anticipated red carpet arrival for the night, and she definitely lived up to the hype. Arriving at the Staples Center in Los Angeles via VIP treatment was an appropriate kickoff to the Grammy Awards. Leaving no expense to spare, the No One singer looked absolutely smashing in a navy blue gown and her hair in an updo. posted by Kayla at 08:35 PM | (0) comments |

Every year, tens of thousands of lucky fans get to see a who’s who of bands perform for the Z100 Jingle Ball. And this year was definitely an early Christmas present to those lucky enough to nab a ticket to the Madison Square Garden gig. On the vocal/pop end of things, fans were treated to performances by the Backstreet Boys, “American Idol” Jordin Sparks, and Alicia Keys. posted by at 09:43 PM | (0) comments |

Jo comments on: Halle Berry: Vampire Vixen I love Halle’s tshirt! Does anyone know where to find it? I just bought a swarovski encrusted tshirt at a Twilight convention and it rocks!
here’s where I got mine:
Where can I get Halle’s? Does anyone know? Walker comments on: Reese Witherspoon Fights Domestic Violence in the UK Good for her. I feel like domestic violence is the red-headed step-child of violence issues. It’s easy to speak out against government-induced famine, or wars that kill civilians, or rape. But domestic violence is a very sensitive issue because it is so common! I’m glad Reese is getting people talking. Another voice brave enough to speak on domestic violence is that of Marala Scott, author of the book, “In Our House: Perception vs. Reality.” She is specifically interested in the “Indicators of an Abuser,” a tool she developed to help people recognize patterns in others (or in themselves) that might signify abusive tendencies in the future. Really fascinating stuff, that - you can see them here. Keep up the good work, Reese! Douglas Harnett comments on: Lindsay Lohan: Seeing Kevin Connolly? linsay just needs to leave that loser kevin connolly and come to me with her sexy a** N.J. comments on: Adam Lambert: More Cancellations ABC is really showing their true colors right now… They invited Adam Lambert to do the closing numer on that awards show, they WANTED it to be racy and risky and announced the “Shocking” performance a dozen times throughout the show. And now that the’ve used him to garner ratings they throw him under the bus??? This has nothing to do with his performance, this is a witch hunt. Nothing else! And just because Adam Lambert is gay nobody dares to speak up… it’s disgusting.
These are not the “values” I want my children to learn, I will no longer allow them to watch ABC or any affiliated companies.
Evey comments on: Orlando Bloom: Vdara Hotel Hunk We’ve heard these same stories about this guy when he was seeing a past girlfriend. I wish you guys would try to use your imaginations and think up better stories. Next week you’ll be claiming Miranda is shopping for a wedding dress. And then that she and Orlando were looking at rings. Just like before. It’s so predictable, it’s boring. Anna comments on: Keira Knightley Continues Work on "The Misanthrope" I love this girl. She is so talented and gorgeous. I wish her all the best with the play, I’m sure she’ll be great! |
