As the who’s who of Hollywood gathered at the Shrine Auditorium for the 59th annual Emmy Awards last night, one thing was made abundantly clear… bold colors were the way to go. The red carpet was dazzled with celebs sporting all kinds of getups, and the powerful hues were an unapologetic departure from the usual subtlety of the event. posted by Kayla at 09:29 AM | (0) comments |

Let’s face it. Most women are hypersensitive about their age, especially as they grow older. But Michelle Pfeiffer is most certainly not most women. Last night under the glittering lights of Los Angeles, a bevy of beautiful stars were in attendance for the premiere of Stardust, which opens across the country on August 10th. And in a town that prides itself on being at the cutting edge of beauty and youth, this movie highlighted the success that aging stars such as Michelle Pfeiffer have been able to achieve while bucking the trend. The Dangerous Minds actress’ role encompasses an old witch preying on the youth to steal their inner power, with co-star Claire Danes playing the perfect foil. Transforming Pfeiffer from star to hag was a four hour process that included wigs, cosmetics, prosthetics, and fake liver spots. posted by at 06:40 PM | (0) comments |
