50 Cent Hits MySpace Nights Stage

Rapper 50 Cent is among those calling Park City, Utah home over the course of the Sundance Film Festival.

The Window Shopper hitmaker took to the stage at TAO for MySpace Nights last evening, drawing a crowd including Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush.

With their whirlwind schedules and constant travel, it’s hard for celebrities to spend any time on the beach.  So stars like Paris Hilton rely on the tanning bed to make their skin glow.

The “Stars are Blind” singer was spotted leaving the Portofino Sun Center & Spa in Beverly Hills, California yesterday.  She sported a black hoodie, baseball cap, and yellow shades, and appeared to have spent a little too much time under the bulbs.

Kanye West Beating 50 Cent In Record Sales

With all the hissy fits being thrown by Kanye West as of late, at least he won’t be freaking out about losing his little competition with 50 Cent.  Preliminary reports have the “Jesus Walks” rapper leading the race of CD sales.

According to Billboard magazine, West’s “Graduation” is looking to be moving between 575,000-700,000 units in its first week, while Fiddy’s “Curtis” is behind with a projected 550,000 copies sold.  On their first day of sales, Soundscan numbers for Kanye were 437,000 vs Fiddy’s 310,000.

50 Cent One Ups Kanye With Paris and Britney

Kanye West and 50 Cent are battling it out this coming week to see who can produce the most sales with their new records, respectively.  These two heavyweights in the world of hip-hop are making the unusual move of coming out with an album on the same day.

As if this hype was not enough in itself, Kanye and Fifty both had lavish release parties last night.  Round one of the title fight goes to Fifty for having the girls.  Kanye drew the likes of Pamela Anderson at his event, but 50 Cent came over the top and double-teamed Kanye with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.  Combining Spears and Hilton together is a one-two-punch that even gives Mother Nature a run for her money.

Don’t Anger 50 Cent

While the rap music industry is definitely fueled by a certain degree of hype, sometimes things can get heated.  Take 50 Cent, for example.  He’s having a pretty raucous exchange with rival Cam’Ron.

With street cred being as important as anything else in the hip hop world, Cam’Ron is hitting 50 where it hurts.  Apparently he made fun of the “Party Up” rapper’s real name, Curtis, and said publicly that he’d lost his credibility for his comments about not protecting a serial killer’s whereabouts.
