Nicole Kidman Parties It Up For Birthday

It’s beach season, and Nicole Kidman is making full use of the gorgeous weather.  She celebrated her 40th (shhhh!) birthday on the beautiful beaches of Sydney, Australia with family and friends.

Bondi Beach was the setting for the actress’ last weekend “under the hill.” Her real birthday is June 20th, so her family got a jump on the festivities by having a party for her on the 16th.

Hugh and Nicole Yet To Find On-Set Romance

Baz Luhrman’s new epic film, Australia, has been getting buzz for quite some time now.  People are flocking to the set to catch a glimpse of the action.  It is being dubbed Gone With the Wind meets Out of Africa.  But so far there has been no sign of the graphic love scenes between Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.

In doing the pre-filming press for the movie, Nicole made it a point to emphasize the prospects that she would be getting naughty with co-star Hugh Jackman.  She told The Courier-Mail how much she was looking forward to “more than a kiss” with the X-Men star.

Nicole Kidman Rides Horses, Keith Talks Fatherhood

As celebrities get older, they tend to get more family-minded.  And that’s the case for Keith Urban.  The 39-year-old Aussie country rocker has conquered the American country music world and now his sights are on makin’ babies!

“I’m really looking forward to becoming a dad. Next year actually would be lovely,” Urban told AP reporters.  The reason for a 2008 baby is probably the couple’s insane schedule. Nicole Kidman is currently shooting a new film in Australia (also titled Australia), while Keith remains in the US touring non-stop.  “I tour for two weeks then fly to Sydney for a week, then go back on the road. It’s not really too hard going back and forth. Its either that or I don’t tour this year. It’s what I do.”

Naomi Watts is approaching the late stages of pregnancy - leaving her faced with the need for a little guidance to handle everything attached to giving birth.

Rather than ask her best friend and fellow Australian, Nicole Kidman, for some tips - Watts has reportedly turned to Michelle Williams, fiancee of her ex Heath Ledger, who are parents to Matilda Rose, 18 1/2 months. A source told Life & Style that Naomi has been “picking Michelle’s brain” as she prepares for the duties of motherhood.

Nicole Kidman Receives Support From Keith Urban

With all the drama surrounding Keith Urban’s stint in rehab, it is great to see him healthy and supporting his wife Nicole Kidman.  He joined her on set as she filmed her first scenes on new epic Australia.

Along with more than 400 cast and crewmembers, the happy couple was greeted at the North Queensland town of Bowen by Aborigines who performed a ‘welcome to country’ ceremony for them.
