As “American Idol” continues prepping for their new season, ex-judge Paula Abdul has voiced her support for her replacement Ellen DeGeneres.

The “Straight Up” songstress took to her Twitter page, saying, “I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol.  She is wildly funny, talented, and I wish her the best of luck!”

Since she won’t be returning to “American Idol,” Paula Abdul may be taking her career in a totally different direction.

The 47-year-old says one of her post-“Idol” projects may include a talk show. Talking to TV Guide she said, “I definitely want to do a talk show because it would be different.”
