Paula Abdul is finally taking a stand to all the drug rumors. The “American Idol” judge is pointing her finger to fellow judge, Simon Cowell, for sparking the rumors about her drug habits.

Miss Abdul has been getting slammed for rumors that she is a drug addict since Cowell joked that she had a penchant for painkillers. Abdul is not willing to take any more of it.

Speaking about her troubling battle with pain medication, Paula Abdul opened up about her past struggles in an interview with Ladies Home Journal.

Talking about how she did her best to hide her addiction, Abdul tells, “I couldn’t cancel my tour. I didn’t want anyone to count me out. I tried to keep everything hush-hush. I’m an old school professional. Never let them see you sweat.”

With the new season of “American Idol” underway, audiences are getting to know new judge Kara DioGuardi.  And at last night’s FOX TV Winter All-Star Party last night, she was spotted getting along just fine with her new colleague Paula Abdul.

As for the fracas between DioGuardi and “Bikini Girl” Katrina Darrell on the premiere episode (they got into a heated spat after Darrell sang Mariah Carey’s Vision of Love and Kara re-sang it to show her how it should’ve been done) , Kara told Ryan Seacrest’s radio show that she has no regrets.

Despite recent tensions, “American Idol” producer Ken Warwick says that Paula Abdul’s job is safe, adding that she’s an integral part of the hit show.

“There’s never ever been any discussion that we would want to get rid of Paula, even if there were people in production that didn’t like her,” Warwick told press during a conference call.
