Just like many of her fellow celebrities, Katherine Heigl is a dog lover.  And last night (September 2), she couldn’t keep her hands off a passing pitbull pup.

Looking like she’d had a few too many while out with her friends, the “Grey’s Anatomy” babe was very enthusiastic as she coddled the pooch, much to the delight of its owner.

The “27 Dresses” babe and her guy pal hit up Sephora, where Heigl grabbed some lipstick, before heading over to the Apple store to check out the new 3G iPhone, though they didn’t buy one.

Keeping her loved ones at the top of her priority list, Katherine Heigl was spotted out on Saturday picking up family members from her mother’s house in Los Feliz.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” star proceeded to load up the car before driving and dropping them off at Los Angeles International Airport - giving kisses and hugs all the way around.
