Stars Show For National Board of Review Awards

It’s a very precarious time in Hollywood these days.  With the writers’ strike still marching on, celebrities are getting a little cabin fever, so to speak, with regard to awards shows.  And with the Golden Globe cancellation this past weekend, Hollywood’s elite are desperate for exposure.

Last night, the National Board of Review held their awards ceremony, honoring greatness in Hollywood productions.  And the A-list of celebrities in attendance was a welcome change from the recent writers’ strike drought.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta’s Fine Romance

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones spent Saturday night at the third annual “A Fine Romance,” which took place on the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City.

The event, which was in benefit of the Motion Picture & Television Fund, was actually hosted by Catherine, along with co-host Hugh Jackman.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas: Off To India

Most actor-actress couples don’t make it very long.  But Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas seem to have a very unique relationship.  And their latest news is that they’ll be collaborating on a film together… in India.

The “No Reservations” actress told press, “I’m looking forward to going to India. Michael and I are developing a script that will be set up in India.  We will take our kids and all of us will come there, set up camp in India and shoot a film.”

Michael and Catherine Hit The US Open

Away from his island home to promote King Of California, Michael Douglas took a breather from press work, taking wife Catherine Zeta Jones to a US Open men’s tennis match on Saturday afternoon (September 8).

The typically quiet couple got all dressed up to watch Roger Federer play Nikolay Davydenko in a semifinal at the famed Flushing Meadows’ Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Catherine Zeta-Jones: Just Friends With Aaron Eckhart

When the rumors began to fly about Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart being romantically involved, Catherine’s husband Michael Douglas was understandably upset.

But the Welsh actress insists that she and Eckhart are merely close friends.  The two worked together recently on “No Reservations” and Catherine was thrilled that Aaron took well to the film.
