Amy Winehouse Bulks Up

It’s no secret that during her current drug and alcohol addiction phase, Amy Winehouse has withered away to basically skin and bones.  But a source who recently spotted the “Rehab” singer at a SoHo eatery says that she’s looking much healthier nowadays.

Her recent weight gain has been attributed to a diet consisting of fast food, yams, dumplings, bananas, jerk chicken, and rice and peas.  Another insider reports that the troubled singer consumed seven meals at McDonald’s over a six-day period.

More Bad News For Amy Winehouse

Some people just don’t get it.  I mean, come on!  She’s been hospitalized several times for “exhaustion,” gotten in a fistfight with her husband over her own drug use, and then couldn’t hack it in rehab.  But, Amy Winehouse still refuses to get help.

Last night, she spoke at the Nationwide Mercury Music Awards ceremony in the UK.  And although she didn’t win the award she was nominated for, Amy managed to get plenty of attention with her comments to the press.

Amy Winehouse Pulls Out Of Video Music Awards

I bet you didn’t see this one coming. Amy Winehouse has just announced that she will not be performing at the September 9th MTV Video Music Awards.  And that’s not all.

Apparently, the Rehab singer will not be playing any more shows until she is fully recovered from her “exhaustion.” Her label, Universal Republic Records, said yesterday that all appearances had been canceled, “in a continued effort to support Amy Winehouse’s well-being.”

Amy Winehouse Hopes Beach Will Chase Away Her Blues

When the going gets tough, the tough go to the beach.  And Amy Winehouse and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil have taken a break from reality (hopefully chemical-free) and hopped a flight to the Caribbean.

The scene in England was getting much too hot for the troubled singer.  First her father-in-law told press that she was going to be the next Sid and Nancy story.  And then he called for a boycott of her records until she got her drug program under control.  Classy.

Amy Winehouse Headed For Typical Rock & Roll Tragedy

Back in the 1970s, there was an English band called the Sex Pistols.  Tragically, their bassist Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen became addicted to heroin and died due to an overdose.  And Amy Winehouse’s father-in-law fears that his son and daughter-in-law may be headed down the same path.

Giles Civil has been watching his son Blake and daughter-in-law Amy with a tremendous amount of fear.  He hopes they’ll clean it up and avoid becoming the next Rock & Roll tragedy.
