“When You’re Gone” is a love song that Lavigne wrote with the agenda to relate to all of her listeners on a common level.  She told press, “It’s about the person you miss and all the little things you miss about them. So many people can relate to it in different ways, whether it’s someone going off to war… or losing someone or even just breaking up with someone, or simply just missing someone because you’re going away.”

Who knew that getting a bunch of rich and famous people together with professional dancers and having America vote on their favorite would be such a smashing success?  This time around, Dancing With The Stars has a great group of celebs ready to compete for the hearts of viewers.

This season’s contestants are actress Jane Seymour, super model Albert Reed, Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, actress-model Josie Maran, king of Las Vegas Wayne Newton, entertainer Marie Osmond, boxer Floyd Mayweather, Spice Girl Melanie Brown, racing champ Helio Castroneves, actress Jenni Garth, and actor Cameron Mathison.

Sheryl Crow and Avril Lavigne have joined forces to organize GirlFrenzy, an all girl concert extravaganza this coming October. Fiona Apple will also be joining the list of performers at the concert taking place at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California, on October 27.

In addition to the headliners, the female music frenzy will also include rising stars Sara Bareilles, Antigone Rising and Colbie Caillat, who have built strong fan bases through the online social networks including MySpace.

2007 Teen Choice Awards Honor Best In Entertainment

Last night was a big deal for many celebrities.  The Fox Network held their annual Teen Choice Awards at Universal Studios in Hollywood, and passed out life-size surfboards in lieu of statuettes.  Hilary Duff and Nick Cannon shared the hosting duties.

The big winners of the night included “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” with a win in the Choice Movie: Action Adventure category.  Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Bill Nighy also received surfboards.
