Orlando Bloom Snubbed By Emmerdale Star

You don’t usually think of hotties like Orlando Bloom getting the brush off from the ladies.  But even studs like him occasionally strike out.

At the launch of “Celebration” in London’s West End, Orlando Bloom was looking dapper as ever while he schmoozed with press and fans.  But when he tried out his A-Game on ‘Emmerdale’ star Amy Nuttall, it didn’t go as he planned it.

Orlando Bloom Opts To Keep His Clothes On

It has been an age-old debate on the integrity of primetime celebrities baring it all for the sake of film/art to generate hype and revenue. Orlando Bloom appears to be taking the moral high ground.

According to Monsters and Critics, the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star laughed off reports that he is set to follow in Daniel Radcliffe’s footsteps and bare all on stage for his role in the London theatrical ‘In Celebration’.

Liv Tyler: It’s All In The Family

While some rockstar kids end up strung out on drugs and constantly partying, Liv Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, says that her tendency toward the quieter life had everything to do with her parents.

The 30-year-old actress never really went through a crazy, lashing out time in her life because her parents were always pretty laid back. “I never had that much to rebel against because my parents were always so kind of cool,” she told press.

Orlando Bloom Prepares to Grace West End Stage

With three record setting Pirates of the Caribbean movies under his belt, Orlando Bloom had to decide what was next for his career.  Instead of launching into yet another movie, Bloom has decided to take a turn on the stage in London’s famous West End.

Bloom will star in David Storey’s “In Celebration” at the Duke of York’s Theater.  It will mark the stage debut for the big screen actor when the show opens next month. “I have been kind of desperate to do a play for the longest time and this opportunity came up when I met this director, Anna Mackmin, who I’m now working with on a play called In Celebration - a play by David Storey.  I was just hungering for an opportunity to be part of an ensemble cast in a great play. It’s a phenomenal play,” Bloom told press.

Depp’s Pirates Tops Memorial Day Weekend Record

Historically, Memorial Day weekend is the kick off for Summer movie season.  It’s also a good indicator for how the box office will fare throughout the coming months.  And with $142.1 million in ticket sales, “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” set a new record for the weekend.

Pirates didn’t quite make it to the Spiderman 3 level, though.  The movie runs two hours, 47 minutes, almost half an hour longer than “Spider-Man 3.” That limited the number of screenings theaters could fit in. “Spider-Man 3” also opened amid lighter competition, while “At World’s End” was up against “Spider-Man 3” and DreamWorks Animation’s “Shrek the Third.”
