Kelly Clarkson Tour Postponed

And now for the bummer of the day… Kelly Clarkson has announced that her summer tour has been postponed pending some major changes.  And what timing; her new album comes out in less than two weeks.

Kelly is really broken up over the news.  She told fans on her website, “I can’t tell you how much I’ve been looking forward to getting out there to perform for y’all.”

Kelly Clarkson Says Goodbye To Management

In an interesting career move, Kelly Clarkson has ended her relationship with her longtime management, The Firm.  It all looks pretty amicable, with both sides saying good things.

“Kelly Clarkson is an enormously talented artist. We are pleased to have served as her managers during her well-deserved rise to stardom and are proud of the role we played in backing her creative choices,” said a Firm spokesperson. 

Clive Davis and Kelly Clarkson: Power Struggle

They don’t call it “show friends,” they call it “show business.” And when you take a look at the current feud between superstar Kelly Clarkson and her label CEO Clive Davis, it’s not hard to see the distinction.

“Clive is furious because Kelly has assumed total artistic control over her new album and refuses his suggestions,” says an insider at Sony BMG, the parent of Clarkson’s label, RCA.

Kelly Clarkson Partners With NASCAR

Kelly Clarkson will soon be showing her racing stripes in the biggest partnership NASCAR has ever made with a music artist, the stock car franchise recently announced.

“Anyone who knows me knows I’m a race fan and love NASCAR,” the singer said in a NASCAR press release. “I look forward to hanging out with the fans, drivers and the entire NASCAR community.”

Clarkson will be “integrated into all aspects of NASCAR,” including television spots, charitable events and NASCAR’s awards dinner in New York City in December, NASCAR said.

The deal kicks off with KelBel headlining the Nextel “Tribute To America” concert airing live on Fox just before the Daytona 500 in Florida on Feb. 18.

During the appearance, Clarkson will film a 30-second NASCAR spot for TV featuring a new song from her upcoming third album.

American Idol Returns For Season 6

Once again the reality TV show “American Idol” returns to plasma and lcd television screens around the globe. Much fanfare has been circulating around the media in respect to this season. Fans are wondering whether there will be another Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood waiting in the wings when the show airs tonight.

There has been the usual publicity that gains attention for the reality TV show, such as the gossip of sex and too much drinking by the energetic Paula Abdul.

Simon has been up to his usual tricks to drum up awareness, by trashing Bob Dylan and saying he would much rather listen to Ms. Clarkson than a poet singing.

Of course, many of you are now seasoned veteran fans of American Idol and have finally come to accept the fact that all of the amusing shenanigans of Paula and Simon are only meant to attract new people to the show and get people saying, when does American Idol come back on?
