Beyonce and Jay-Z: Back To NYC

They’re world travelers and rock stars, and last night Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles were spotted out in New York City last night for the first time in 2008.

Always looking their best, the 1st couple of hip-hop made their rounds in the Big Apple with Jay sporting a hooded jacket with a grey v-neck sweater and dark jeans, and the Bootylicious one wearing a leather jacket and some Capri-style pants.

Jay-Z’s grand opening of the 40/40 Club at The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas went off without a hitch last night (December 30).

The rap mogul showed up in a tux, but most of the attention was drawn by his girlfriend, Beyonce Knowles, and her sister Solange - who both worked the red carpet looking ever-so stylish.

Def Jam Records got some unexpected news for Christmas - their president, Jay-Z, announced that he will be stepping down effective January 1st, 2008.

Though he’s only been the head cheese for two years, the “99 Problems” rapper has done some amazing things for the label.  Besides signing Rihanna and Ne-Yo (both multi-platinum acts), the HOVA has released his own #1 album, as well as one for Kanye West.

Concluding their Parisian birthday/romance getaway, Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles were spotted leaving the Hotel Meurice, headed for the airport.

And the happy couple looked like they’d enjoyed a little down time, looking refreshed and exuberant.  Beyonce even smiled for the paps that were trailing them.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Paris Birthday Rendezvous

Rather than throwing a big bash in honor of the special occasion, Jay-Z opted to spend his birthday on an intimate outing in Paris with longtime girlfriend, Beyoncé Knowles.

Turning 38-years-old on Tuesday, the hip-hop mogul is said to have “headed to Paris and checked quietly into the Hotel Meurice on Monday.” Meanwhile, “Beyoncé arrived the next day, jetting in following Sunday’s performance at Movies Rock.”
