Mariah Carey Rocks “Oprah” in Central Park

She’s always a treat to hear live, and earlier today (September 18) Mariah Carey gave a killer performance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

Joined by hubby Nick Cannon, the “Always Be My Baby” songstress took the Central Park, NYC stage to promote her upcoming album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which hits stores and online retailers September 29th.

Oprah’s Studio Deals with Bomb Scare

Police Bomb & Arson investigators have been looking into a wary package that was found outside Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions Inc. studio in Chicago.

The studio is where Oprah films her show, where a security found a dark-colored backpack with wires lingering out of it in a flowerbed outside the studio around 6:20 a.m. on Friday (July 31).

Oprah Winfrey Speaks Out on School Sex Scandal

She’s facing the disappointment and discouragement of having a second sex scandal in her South African Girls’ School in two years.  And Oprah Winfrey released a statement to press yesterday explaining her sadness.

She commented, “I’m disappointed that several of our students chose to disregard the school’s rules. It’s disheartening when any student has to be suspended or expelled and it’s a process that involves serious review and consideration.”

For the second time in as many years, Oprah Winfrey’s South African all-female boarding school has been hit with a student sex scandal.

According to a report, a total of seven girls were suspended last week on charges that they sexually harassed their fellow schoolmates.

Oprah’s Caution to Rihanna

The latest celebrity to weigh in on the Rihanna/Chris Brown drama is none other than talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, who warned the “Take A Bow” songstress not to jump back into a relationship with her abuser on her show last week.

Winfrey began her discourse, saying, “Both Chris Brown and Rihanna, if I were your friend, I’d call you up and say, ‘Give it some time. Get yourself some counseling. Take care of yourself. Heal yourself first.’”
