Keeping busy on what was an ideal summer day in Los Angeles, Joel Madden and Nicole Richie headed off to do a little shopping downtown on Wednesday (June 11).

The duo browsed through the area shops, with Joel toting out a handful of shopping bags from his Simple Life sweetie’s purchases in “Little Tokyo.”

Now that they’re accustomed to their role as parents, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden seem more willing to leave baby Harlow with a sitter.  And yesterday it was just the two of them enjoying the afternoon together.

First, Nicole made a quick stop into her local Beverly Hills Radio Shack store to pick up a few items before heading over to Joel’s DCMA Collective boutique on Melrose.
