Kardashian Sisters Pay Tribute to Akon

Out participating in the Grammy festivities, Kim Kardahsian was front and center at an all-star pre-Grammy private dinner on Saturday night (February 7).

Hosted by New Era and 944 Magazine, the event honored the widespread success of the international recording artist/producer Akon.

Fergie, Josh, and Paris Party with Vanity Fair

Celebrities and high-profile parties go hand-in-hand.  And last night (February 4), stars like Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson, Josh Duhamel, and Paris Hilton flocked to the Vanity Fair and Krug dinner at the Chateau Marmont.

Newlyweds Josh and Fergie looked like the picture of wedded bliss as they mingled with fellow partygoers, with the “Fergalicious” one sporting a black and white flapper-style dress while her man donned a grey suit with a grey striped button-up shirt.

Akon’s In Hot Water… Again

We all remember the 15-year-old girl that got Akon in trouble for simulating sex with her earlier this year.  Well, now he’s getting the book thrown at him again for throwing a male fan off the stage during one of his concerts.

Back in June, the platinum-selling rapper was playing a show in upstate New York when the incident occurred.  An audience member even got cell phone footage of Akon encouraging the unidentified 15-year-old male to join him onstage before hoisting him up over his shoulders and throwing him back into the crowd.

World Music Awards Honors Avril Lavigne, Akon

Monaco, France was the scene for the World Music Awards last night.  And it was an event to behold, honoring music’s best in 2007.

As a newcomer to the industry, Mika made a huge showing, taking home awards for best-selling pop/rock artist, best-selling British artist, best-selling new artist, and best-selling male entertainer.  Sheesh!

AMA’s Announce 2007 Nominations

It’s that time of the year again.  Time for the 2007 American Music Awards, that is.  And this year there are plenty of categories embroiled in fierce competition.

According to the list of nominees, Beyonce, Justin Timerlake, Chris Daughtry, and Linkin Park will be competing in three categories each, while Akon, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Young Jeezy, T.I., and Carrie Underwood each have two chances to take home an award.
