Poiret was a renowned pre-World War II fashion designer, who was the first to use draping in dressmaking and is credited with launching the suspender belt, flesh-colored stockings, the sack dress and culottes.

Amanda Peet Welcomes Baby Daughter

A little ahead of schedule, actress Amanda Peet has given birth to her first child.

The 35-year-old actress and husband David Benioff, 36, welcomed daughter Frances Pen earlier this week. The middle name is in honor of Peet’s mother, social worker Penny.

On February 21, Peet went into labor instead of keeping plans to attend a Hollywood luncheon, reported the Post.
