Kenny Chesney Rocks Good Morning America

The folks over at CBS got a strong dose of country charm as Kenny Chesney showed up this morning to perform for Good Morning America’s Fall Concert Series at the Hard Rock Café in NYC.

The “Spirit of a Storm” crooner made the ladies swoon as he took the stage in a black cowboy hat along with a matching black t-shirt and jeans.

Kenny Chesney:  ACM’s Entertainer of the Year

Country crooner Kenny Chesney had a winning night in Las Vegas last night.  And it wasn’t at the BlackJack table.

He took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.  And in his acceptance speech, the “Don’t Blink” singer thanked his fans for the award, his fourth consecutive win.

Chesney and Underwood Light Up CMA’s

Country music’s biggest night had some very memorable moments.  Both the veteran and the newcomer had a place at the table, as Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, George Strait and Brooks and Dunn were the big winners of the night, while cameras snapped away at coutry’s supercouple - Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

Brooks and Dunn were the recipients of their 14th vocal duo award.  “It’s still as much fun as it’s ever been, and we’re going to keep doing it,” an exuberant Kix Brooks said as the duo claimed the trophy.  The winning duo had some tough competition, beating out Sugarland, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, and the Wreckers (for you Michelle Branch fans out there).

Carrie Underwood Sizzles At CMTA’s

Former “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood took home two big buckles at the 2007 Country Music Television Awards held Monday night (April 16th). Other big winners included Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts.

Underwood, a country sweetheart, won the coveted “CMT Music Awards Video of the Year” and “Female Video of the Year” for her hit single “Before He Cheats.”

Chesney Talks About Gay Rumors, Divorce From Zellweger

Ever since Kenny Chesney split from actress Renee Zellweger, rumors surrounding the separation and Kenny’s sexual orientation have been building. According to an AP release, Chesney has completed an interview set to air Sunday February 18th on 60 minutes, in an attempt to debunk the gossip.

“It’s not true. Period. Maybe I should have come out and said, `No, I’m not (gay),’ but I didn’t want to draw any more attention to it,” the country singer says. “... I didn’t have to prove to anybody that I wasn’t (gay). I didn’t feel like I really did.”
