Earlier today Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States of America, and the first African American man to hold the office.  And there were plenty of celebrities pumped up about the momentous occasion.

Hip Hop living legend Jay Z and his lovely songbird wife Beyonce Knowles were all about getting a taste of history in the making as they took in the sights and sounds of the Inauguration ceremony.

Ashlee Simpson, Diddy Record Message for Barack

Doing their part to welcome the President-elect, Ashlee Simpson and Sean “Diddy” Combs were spotted arriving at Dream Bigger Studios to record a message for Barack Obama in Los Angeles on Tuesday (January 13).

Joining a number of fellow celebs, Simpson and Combs are participating in a video montage produced by Aston Kutcher one week before Obama’s inauguration ceremony.

The “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker and Ciroc premium vodka are teaming up with the city’s Taxi & Limousine Commission to give away free cab rides throughout the evening tomorrow night.

Spending the holidays with family, Sean “Diddy” Combs and was spotted out with son Christian to get in some last minute Christmas Eve shopping in Los Angeles on Wednesday (December 24).

The hip-hop mogul father and his 10-year-old made their way to the trendy Robertson Blvd, with the pair stopping off at Kitson and Curve to pick up some goodies for the ladies in their lives.

Beyonce and Jay-Z: “Cadillac Records” in NYC

Stepping out for the premiere of her new movie, Beyonce Knowles walked side-by-side with her rap mogul hubby Jay-Z for a night on “Cadillac Records” in New York City on Monday night (December 1).

Also in attendance at the AMC Loews 19th Street Theater were Beyonce’s co-star Adrien Brody, as well as her mother Tina, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Kelly Ripa, among others.
