2009 MTV VMAs: The Show, The Winners

Yet another year has passed in the MTV Video Music Awards history.  And last night’s shindig was memorable for its good points as well as a few snafus.

Kicking off the show, Madonna gave a monologue about Michael Jackson that was followed by a high-energy tribute to the fallen King of Pop, complete with a performance by Janet Jackson.

He’s always been known for having an explosive personality in his rap songs, and in Eminem’s latest “The Warning,” he threatens to release nude pics of ex-girlfriend Mariah Carey.

In the new single, the “Slim Shady” rapper opens up with some banter about his split with the “Always Be My Baby” songbird- “Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me. Now I’m pissed off… You wanna hear something wick wack?/ I got the same exact tattoo that’s on Nick’s back.”

Nick Cannon Comes to Mariah Carey’s Defense

He’s been known to poke fun of a celebrity or two in his days and this time rapper, Eminem, may have gone too far.

Nick Cannon has angrily taken to his blog to fire back at Eminem over a derogatory new track on his new album, “Relapse.” In the track, entitled “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” Eminem dishes about his alleged romance with Cannon’s wife, Mariah Carey – a romance that she denies ever happened.

Eminem: Swine Flu Safety in Paris

He’s gearing up for the release of his new album, and earlier today Eminem was spotted arriving at Le Bourget Airport to do some publicity.

The “Slim Shady” rapper looked to be taking all the necessary precautions to prevent catching the swine flu, sporting a protective mask and gloves as he passed the paparazzi.

Eminem Talks Addiction, Sobriety

As he plans his triumphant return to the top of the music world, Eminem opened up about his drug addiction woes in a recent article with Vibe magazine.

The 36-year-old tells: “It’s no secret I had a drug problem. If I was to give you a number of Vicodin I would actually take in a day? Anywhere between 10 to 20. Valium, Ambien, the numbers got so high I don’t even know what I was taking.”
