Kylie Minogue Lends Her Voice To “Rent”

There’s nothing like a good Broadway musical.  And in London’s West End Theatre District, one unlikely voice is being heard in the production of “Rent” that is currently running - Kylie Minogue.

The Aussie singer reportedly recorded a series of answering machine messages for the show, using varied accents and pitches.  Some of them were also digitally altered to make her sound like a man.

Back in 2005, Kylie Minogue was dealt a wicked hand when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  But two years later, she’s back in the game and everyone is taking notice.

The 39-year-old Aussie singer received the honor of the Q Idol Award yesterday in England.  The ceremony, which took place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, took a moment to pay tribute to Minogue for having the courage to return to music after her plight with cancer.

Minogue sported a floor-length Grecian-style gown fit for a princess.  She arrived at a special dinner at Fulham Palace looking every bit the beautiful diva we’ve come to know her as.

Sometimes the best romance is one that is revisited.  Just ask Kylie Minogue.  She’s been rumoured to be back with her former lover Olivier Martinez, and she couldn’t be happier.

For now, though, the two are trying to keep it low-key. “They’ve talked on the phone constantly, but only recently started meeting. They want to keep it secret at the moment,” a source told press.

Kylie Minogue has a new album coming out in a few months, but tracks from the disc have already made their way to the Internet. In this situation, one would think that the source of the leak would be sought out and held liable. Not the case.

Why might this be? Well, industry insiders believe that the songs - ‘Stars’, ‘Fall For You’ and ‘Sensitized’ - were leaked deliberately by Minogue in what is being called the newest music industry gimmick.
