After scouting out the best locations, Penelope Cruz and Spanish director Pedro Almodovar have gotten to work on Pedro’s new movie, Los Abrazos rotos (Broken Embraces).

According to a Hello! report, filming of the movie is “situated in Lanzarote, an island in the Atlantic Ocean 79 miles off the west coast of Africa offering year-round sunshine, dramatic volcanic landscapes and white sand beaches.”

Accompanied by director Pedro Almodovar, Penelope Cruz was resonant in red as she made a Sunday afternoon arrival in Lanzarote, the easternmost of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean.

Penelope and Pedro are there to scout out locations and prepare for the filming of Pedro’s new movie, Los Abrazos rotos (Broken Embraces).
