With all the celebrity pregnancies going on as of late, maternity shops and baby botiques in Los Angeles must be making a killing!  And Salma Hayek is latest mommy-to-be to be honored with a massive baby shower.

The Desperado babe has made it to the nine month mark in her pregnancy, and her friends and family decided to hook her up with all kinds of gifts.  The list of goodies includes Petunia Pickle Bottom Cake bags in both black ($325) and pink ($425), as well as two Bloom high chairs ($400 each) and Graco Snug Ride car seats ($130 each).

Who says life ends at 40?  Not Halle Berry.  The Monster’s Ball actress is looking as hot as ever, and everyone’s taking notice.  In fact, she was recently honored on a “fabulous 40-something” list by being named #1.

In Touch Weekly put out their “The World’s most fabulous 40-something” list and Berry was on top of her peers.  She beat out some other notable hotties, like Daisy Fuentes, Salma Hayek and the former Mrs. Tommy Lee/Kid Rock Pamela Anderson.

Shakira To Wed, Penelope A Bridesmaid?

Shakira has finally committed to walking down the aisle with her boyfriend of seven years. It is being reported by The Daily Mirror that the 30-year-old Colombian singer is set to marry Antonio De La Rua, 34, in September.

While we all know what Shakira does for a living, De La Rua is a practicing lawyer and the son of a former Argentine president. According to the report, “the wedding is believed to be taking place at Shakira’s luxury mansion in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.”

Salma Hayek’s engagement to Francois-Henri Pinault is big news. On March 9, 2007, Salma’s publicist confirmed that the actress was engaged to billionaire Francois Pinault’s son, Henri and that the couple is expecting their first child together. 

According to Life + Style magazine, the couple has set a date in December just after Hayek gives birth to the baby. “It’ll be an intimate ceremony sometime during the holidays,” said Hayek’s publicist.  The roster will reportedly include Penelope Cruz and Ashley Judd as bridesmaids.

Costume Institute Gala: Hollywood Style At Its Best

The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art was the place to be and be seen on Monday night (May 7). The Met played host to this year’s Costume Institute Gala in honor of Paul Poiret.

Poiret was a renowned pre-World War II fashion designer, who was the first to use draping in dressmaking and is credited with launching the suspender belt, flesh-colored stockings, the sack dress and culottes.
