Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears Out in Malibu

A very pregnant Britney Spears and her sister, Jamie Lynn, were out and about in Malibu yesterday. Eating ice cream and having a fun time. Jamie Lynn is leaving to go back to school at Parklane Academy in McComb, Mississippi very soon so she and big sis are spending some quality time together.  Jamie Lynn only lives in California during her summer breaks, while she’s filming her TV show, Zoey 101.

She?s been surrounded by celebrity just about all of her life, but Jamie Lynn Spears would have you believe she?s just another teenager blown away by the fact she gets to travel to Los Angeles to make TV shows, and they sometimes let her keep the clothes she wears on set.

But then Britney Spears? kid sister, still kidlike and disarmingly polite at 13, makes a pretty good case for her innocence when she recounts her reaction to learning she would be starring in her own TV show.

?I thought, ?Oh my gosh, that would be so cool!? ? she recalls thinking when veteran TV producer Dan Schneider told her one day over lunch that he wanted to take her out of the ensemble cast of the children?s variety show ?All That? and put her in the spotlight.

?So we started talking about stuff, and we came up with all of these ? all of these ideas ? and he wrote something,? says Jamie Lynn, still sounding fascinated by the process.

Zoey 101, Starring Jamie Lynn Spears premieres January 9

Zoey 101 will premiere on Nickelodeon on Sunday, January 9. Jamie Lynn will also be singing the theme song, which was written by big sis, Britney.

Some folks aren’t too nice though, read what this guy says. “Tween sitcom twaddle.” What? Sheesh.

Nickelodeon’s 17th annual Kids’ Choice awards

Celebrities who made appearances on the show included Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire, stars of the “Spider-Man” movie franchise; Jennifer Love Hewitt; Lindsay Lohan; Jennifer Garner; George Lopez; singer-actress Jennifer Lopez; twins Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, who were both slimed; skating legend Tony Hawk; Jamie Lynn Spears (Britney’s sister) and Joe Rogan, host of NBC’s “Fear Factor.”

The awards show was broadcast live on the Nickelodeon cable network. Kids voted online and by phone for the winners.
