Halle Berry has a lot of good things going on for her right now, with a steady relationship and the upcoming release of the movie Perfect Stranger, co-starring Bruce Willis, heading up the list. Being the case, it’s no wonder Halle’s up in arms over Parade magazine’s decision to highlight her suicide attempt in their recent article on the actress.

Berry recently spoke out against the publication, saying they regurgitated quotes from old interviews and “sensationalized” her story about her suicide attempts.

Halle Berry Regrets Drug Use

It’s hard to imagine Hollywood hottie Halle Berry as a pothead.  She has won Oscars and sold millions of dollars of box office tickets.  Yet, she has admitted to a past of occasional drug use.

Berry regrets smoking marijuana as a teenager because it made her paranoid to the point that she couldn’t face the outside world.  The X-Men star stands firm that pot was her only indulgence.  She has never tried anything stronger than marijuana, and can’t understand people who take hard drugs.

Halle Berry Makes Suicide Confession

You’ve seen her in Monster’s Ball, Swordfish, X-Men, and Gothika.  Halle Berry is a MEGA moviestar.  But it wasn’t always that way.  The 40-year-old actress dishes to Parade magazine that she was once in a very dark place.

Back in 1996, Berry was witnessing the collapse of her marriage to baseball stud David Justice.  It got so bad that she comtemplated taking her own life.  She told Parade magazine: “I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming, when I had an image of my mother finding me. She sacrificed so much for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to do.”

Halle Berry Says No To Nuptuals

For those of you hoping to marry Halle Berry, you may want to find a new aspiration.  The Oscar-winning actress has no intention of giving marriage a third chance.  According to InStyle magazine, “I will never, never get married again.”

Berry has apparently evolved her view on the subject.  “I’ve come to a place now where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper.” The 40-year-old hottie first met current beau Gabriel Aubry back in 2005 on a Versace photo shoot, and wasn’t intending on hooking up.

Halle Berry’s Homeless Past

Halle Berry took advantage of the gorgeous weather in LA on Tuesday.  She wore a white sundress while she was out shopping.  When you consider how amazing she is now, you’d never guess that she was once so poor that she was forced into a shelter for the homeless.
