With a multi-platinum recording career and the King of Hip Hop on her arm, Beyonce Knowles is at the top of here game. And judging from this summer’s extravaganza known as “The Beyonce Experience,” it looks like her concerts are top shelf as well. Just finished performing at Madison Square Garden, the show contains a series of dazzling sets to compliment the Bootylicious singer’s musical medleys. She begins every concert with a dramatic diva entrance from beneath the ornamental stage.

If you’re going to a Beyonce Knowles concert, you may notice a serious lack of something very obvious on stage - Men. She hired a women-only band/tour cast and she says its been great. The Bootylicious singer told press, “I grew up in a house with so many women. I love being around women, I love being around talented women and supportive women.” And apparently the estrogen-rich environment has been a positive move. posted by at 09:07 AM | (0) comments |
permalink Wednesday, July 25, 2007 Jay-Z Jumps Ship, Beyonce Takes A Spill
In the recording industry, there’s always a deal to be made. This time, it looks like Jay-Z is taking his star power from current label Island Def Jam to Columbia Records after Island made some interesting decisions. Jay may feel a bit crowded after Jermaine Dupri was added to the executive level of Island’s urban music division earlier this year. A source close to Jay told press, “There isn’t room for two kings at one label. Why would Island bring in another power-hitter urban guy?” posted by Kayla at 08:42 AM | (0) comments |
