Beyonce and Jay-Z Tie The Knot

Rumors began to fly earlier this week when Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z obtained a marriage license at Village Hall in Scarsdale, New York on Tuesday.  And now we know why they did- yesterday (4.4.08) the longtime couple finally got hitched.

While there’s no official confirmation yet, a friend of the couple spilled the beans to press about the intimate affair that took place yesterday. “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”

It was supposed to happen this past December in the Caribbean. But it didn’t. Now, it finally looks as if Hip-Hop superstar Jay-Z and his longtime girlfriend Beyoncé Knowles could be headed to the chapel within the next two months.

The music-making pair took out a 60-day marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y. on Tuesday morning, People magazine has reported.

Over in the West Village of New York City’s Manhattan borough, the paparazzi caught up with Beyonce Knowles and her boy Jay-Z as they were leaving Bar Pitti yesterday.

And apparently someone tipped off the rest of the city, as fans were anxiously awaiting the exit of the two superstars.  Graciously, the hip-hop power couple greeted their awaiting admirers as they made their way out.

It’s no doubt that the 50th Annual Grammy Awards show was a stunning array of musical talent, as well as an important night to honor music’s best and brightest.  And at the BMG afterparty, Beyoncé lit up the red carpet with a little brightness of her own.

The “Bootylicious” babe was no stranger to costume changes throughout the evening, and by the time she got to the Sony/BMG shindig at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, she had finally found her best look of the night.
