The Lizzie McGuire actress grabbed the title role in the new movie, directed by Nancy Bardawil.  She plays a waitress who develops a crush on one of the cooks in the kitchen.  And romance is the recipe for this film.

After spending Thursday evening hosting the Spirit of Life Awards in West Hollywood, Hilary Duff jumped a plane to make it back to NYC in time to celebrate her 20th birthday.

The Lizzie McGuire actress was eager to enjoy an evening out with boyfriend, Mike Comrie, who bought her a Mercedes last week as an early gift.

What do you get for the girl who has everything?  No, really, when you’re buying for Hilary Duff, that question must ring especially true.  And her boyfriend decided to take a trip to the Mercedes dealer to celebrate her birthday.

And oh what a present he got her!  Duff’s boyfriend, Mike Comrie, called her up to say that he’d purchased an early 20th birthday present.  “I hope you like them,” he told her, faking her out totally.

With Joel Madden off making babies with Nicole Richie, we all wondered when Hilary Duff would get serious with a guy.  And while they’re still in the early stages of their relationship, the singer/actress and her hockey player boyfriend look like they could make it last.

Apparently the two are very affectionate toward one another.  According to a friend of Duff, “They’re always together and can’t keep their hands off each other.” And why not?  They’re young and beautiful and in love.

2007 Teen Choice Awards Honor Best In Entertainment

Last night was a big deal for many celebrities.  The Fox Network held their annual Teen Choice Awards at Universal Studios in Hollywood, and passed out life-size surfboards in lieu of statuettes.  Hilary Duff and Nick Cannon shared the hosting duties.

The big winners of the night included “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” with a win in the Choice Movie: Action Adventure category.  Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Bill Nighy also received surfboards.
