As the who’s who of Hollywood gathered at the Shrine Auditorium for the 59th annual Emmy Awards last night, one thing was made abundantly clear… bold colors were the way to go.

The red carpet was dazzled with celebs sporting all kinds of getups, and the powerful hues were an unapologetic departure from the usual subtlety of the event.

Hollywood Pays Respects To Merv Griffin

When Merv Griffin passed away last week, we all lost someone very special.  Griffin was in innovator in the world of entertainment, and this past Friday, the who’s who of Hollywood gathered to honor him.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were among the throngs of celebs gathered at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills.  Also in attendance was Nancy Regan, Pat Sajak, Vanna White, and Alex Trebek.

Lindsay Lohan Legal?

If you happen to be in Las Vegas on July 2nd (two months from today, in fact), keep your eyes peeled for bargain buffets, sexy showgirls, and Lindsay Lohan.  According to the Ellen Degeneres Show, Miss Lohan plans to have her first “legal” drink in Sin City.

“I’m going to milk it because it’s a big birthday,” she told DeGeneres. “I think it’s been a long time coming for some of my friends that have clubs out in Los Angeles. They don’t have to worry about getting into trouble because I’m underage. I think I’m doing a party in Vegas, which makes sense because I’ve never been able to go out there. I have never gambled there.”

Ellen DeGeneres Set To Host Academy Awards

It’s been announced that Ellen DeGeneres will be the host of the upcoming Academy Awards, making her the second female to host the event on her own, only behind Whoopi Goldberg.

Ellen, who is currently in a relationship with Portia de Rossi, seems to many to be a ‘safe’ choice by the Academy. She’s known to be easy going, a little dry and self-deprecating, which is a dramatic turn from the last two hosts – Jon Stewart and Chris Rock, both who are known for being risky and abrasive.

Christina Aguilera Talks Naked With Ellen DeGeneres

Christina Aguilera had an interesting interview that is set to air February 8th in the US on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. From an ap news release, it appears as if Christina has no problem showing skin.... especially on weekends with her music executive husband, Jordan Bratman.

“We claim ourselves to be the coziest couple ever. We have something called ‘naked Sundays’,” the 26-year-old pop star told Ellen.

“You have to keep marriage alive, spice it up,” the singer advised.
