Ellen DeGeneres was honored by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for an episode of her show containing details of her wedding with Portia De Rossi.

GLAAD recognizes media for their representation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.

Celebrating the weekend’s arrival with a dinner date, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were spotted out at Madeo restaurant last night (March 6).

The talk show queen and her “Arrested Development” wife looked to be having a marvelous time at the swanky West Los Angeles eatery, smiling ear to ear as they made their exit.

Looking every bit the happy couple, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were spotted out for a special dinner last night to celebrate Ellen’s 51st birthday.

The talk show queen and her “Arrested Development” wife hit up Chateau Marmont for a delicious meal, smiling and holding hands as they passed the paparazzi.

2009 People’s Choice Awards: The Show, The Winners

Making for quite the spectacular evening, the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards saw “The Dark Knight” pull off a clean sweep, raking in all five awards for which it was nominated.

Held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the star-studded affair also saw performer Carrie Underwood grab three awards while Katherine Heigl, Reese Witherspoon, Christina Applegate and Robin Williams all went home winners, as well.

Sharing some quality time together over the weekend, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi were spotted taking a stroll in Beverly Hills and looking blissful.

Both sporting smiles, the talk show host and her “Arrested Development” partner were keen to show their love for each other, despite the passage of Prop 8.  Portia was even so bold as to wear a shirt that read “I Love My Wife.”
