Last night in Las Vegas, the focus switched from gambling to the “Moonman” as MTV dished out a bevy of awards during their annual Video Music Awards.  Who were the big winners?  Keep reading!

Of course the resident media darling Justin Timberlake garnered some more decorations for his mantle, taking home the awards for “Quadruple Threat of the Year” and “Male Artist of the Year.”

Shakira Decides On Prenup

When you’re rich and famous, everyone is trying to get a piece of you.  That’s why Shakira’s advisors are pushing her to sign a prenuptial agreement before she marries Antonio de la Rua. 

The Colombian singer has agreed to a prenup before she marries Antonio this September in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  They’ve been engaged for six years, and now they’re moving forward. 

Live Earth: Al Gore’s Global Party

As reported previously by the Gossip Girls, the series of Live Earth concerts across seven continents got started off with a bang yesterday (July 7).  Just 24 hours later, the global party has come to an end - but the hope is that the event’s message will live on for quite some time to come.

Live Earth was organized by former Vice President Al Gore with the goal of raising awareness about global warming. With over 100 musical acts joining in on the cause, the entertainers played to the crowds - with many offering up messages to the over 2 billion people expected to experience the shows through television, radio and the Internet.

Shakira and Rihanna Help Kick Off Live Earth

The 2007 version of Live Earth concerts kicked off on Saturday (July 7) in an attempt to persuade governments and citizens to go green. And Rihanna and Shakira were among the acts performing in nine cities around the world.

According to Reuters reports, “around 40,000 people filled the Aussie Stadium in Sydney, 10,000 turned up at the Makuhari Messe hall outside Tokyo, thousands watched at the steps of the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai and many more braved the rain in Hamburg.”

Demi and Ashton Heat Up The Big Apple

If you’ve been wondering why it’s so freaking hot in New York City this week, you may have your answer.  Hollywood hotties Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have been out and about, tearing up the town.

Moore and Kutcher have been enjoying everything NYC has to offer, along with some of their famous friends.  On Monday night, the famous pair were spotted at hotspot Butter Restaurant and club Chillin with Madonna and Penelope Cruz.
