2008 MTV Europe Music Awards Rock Liverpool

It’s one of the biggest nights in the International music industry, and earlier this evening musicians from all over the world converged on the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England for the 2008 MTV Europe Awards.

Taking care of the hosting duties was none other than Katy Perry.  And the “I Kissed a Girl” songstress had plenty of sass and costume changes (a total of 12) to fill the 2-hour time allotment.

All glammed up for what will be one of the biggest nights of her career, Katy Perry posed on the red carpet upon arrival to the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards held in Liverpool, England on Thursday (November 6).

Not only is the “I Kissed a Girl” singer at the Echo Arena for the night’s festivities, but she’s also taking over hosting duties at the annual awards show.

She’s experienced a meteoric rise to fame this year, and now Katy Perry has scored a dream gig - she’s hosting the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards.

The “I Kissed a Girl” songstress was spotted at Saint Georges Hall in Liverpool, England for a press conference earlier today, and she confessed that landing the job of host was nothing short of amazing.

She’s already made a name for herself with the androgynous hit “I Kissed a Girl,” and now Katy Perry is exploring more of her masculine side.

The pop singer was spotted at a big party held at Siren Studios, dressed as legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, donning a fake moustache and wig along with a flashy yellow jacket and white trackpants.

She’s definitely enjoying the spoils of her pop stardom, and earlier today Katy Perry was spotted having a marvelous time on a boat ride in Australia.

The “I Kissed a Girl” songstress smiled and waved to the paparazzi as she hopped onto a boat at the Wollomoolloo Warf in Sydney, looking playful in a black tank top and red spider skirt with grey flats.
