The Battle Over Anna Nicole Smith’s Remains

The Anna Nicole Smith controversy and legal drama continues to march on beyond her death, with three separate people launching court bids for custody of her remains.

The body of the former model, who spent more than a decade battling for the fortune of her late oil tycoon husband, is currently at a medical examiner’s office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

One participant in the heated legal battles includes Smith’s long-term companion, Howard K Stern. Howard claims that he is the executor of the former Playboy model’s will and wants her buried in the Bahamas next to her son, Daniel, who was found dead in September last year at the young age of 20.

HPD Release Anna Nicole Smith 911 Tape

The Hollywood (FLA) Police Department has released a 911 call from the night Anna Nicole Smith died, made by the Seminole tribal police department.  In the 31-second call, the tribal police asked the Hollywood paramedics for assistance at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for an unresponsive female that was not breathing (more commonly known as a Code Blue).

The following is a transcript of the call:

Hollywood 911 Dispatch: Hollywood Fire Rescue.
Seminole PD: Hi. This is Seminole police. If you could please respond to the Hard Rock.
Hollywood 911 Dispatch: Uh huh.
Seminole PD: Room 607. It’s going to be in reference to a white female. She’s not breathing and she’s not responsive. She’s actually Anna Nicole Smith.
Hollywood 911 Dispatch: Uh huh.
Seminole PD: If you guys could please…
Hollywood 911 Dispatch: Oh, OK.

Drugs Found In Anna Nicole Smith’s Room

More information is slowly being released regarding the tragic death of former Playmate, Anna Nicole Smith. As reported February 8th by The Gossip Girls, a lawyer who represented Anna Nicole Smith, Ron Rale, says the model was staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino Thursday when she was found unresponsive and was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fla., where she was pronounced dead.

WCBS-TV in New York has now released a follow up report, stating that while searching Anna Nicole Smith’s hotel room late Thursday afternoon, investigators found two key pieces of evidence: illegal narcotics and prescription medications.

A toxicology report will determine whether one of these drugs or a combination of both substances contributed to her death. Meanwhile, an autopsy is scheduled for the morning of Friday February 9th, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Anna Nicole Smith Dies At Age 39

In a sadly unexpected news release from the ap, Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday February 8, after collapsing at a South Florida hotel, one of her lawyers said. The former Playboy playmate, whose bizarre life careened from marrying an octogenarian billionaire to the untimely death of her son was 39 years of age.

According the the press statement, Smith collapsed and was unresponsive while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino, said the attorney, Ron Rale. She was rushed to a hospital.

“She checked in Monday at 8 p.m. as a guest. She was due to check out tomorrow,” said Danielle Giordaano, a spokeswoman for the hotel.
