Eva Mendes Hopes “Cleaner” Helps Renny Harlin

It has been a rough decade for Renny Harlin, with projects such as The Covenant and Mindhunters flopping, thus receiving banishment to Hollywood B-List obscurity. However, based upon initial insider reviews it appears that Renny has once again found the right formula in his new crime drama Cleaner.

Cleaner was billed as the Gala presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival. And a strong storyline, accompanied by star performances, allowed Cleaner to show well in front of prospective movie distributors.

The 33-year-old Hitch actress reveals that she doesn’t attribute her great shape to her diet.  She says, it’s just a natural thing, and enjoys junk food because she’s so happy with her shape.

Valentino Party Brings Stars To Rome

Some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry have taken to the streets of Rome for the weekend-long celebrations of designer Valentino Garavani’s 45th anniversary.

The festivities, which have been dubbed the “Red Party,” kicked off on Friday evening at the Museum of Ara Pacis. Friends of the designer in attendance included: Uma Thurman, Claire Danes, Eva Mendes, Sienna Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker, Liz Hurley, along with many others.

Eva Mendes’ Debut; “Not So Hot”

You’ve seen her opposite Will Smith in Hitch and starring with Nicolas Cage Ghost Rider.  But Eva Mendes wasn’t always such a noteworthy actress.

The Latina hottie is confessing that her first film, “Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror” wasn’t her best work.  “If you want to experience some truly terrible acting on my part - basically a guide to what not to do on screen - I suggest you rush out and rent Children Of The Corn V right away,” she told press.

Eva Mendes Bans Father

There’s been a lot of buzz about the upcoming film “We Own the Night,” and much of that is due to the steamy sex scene between Eva Mendes and Joaquin Phoenix.  But Eva is banning her father from seeing it.

Eva, a former aspiring nun and Catholic schoolgirl, has cited her upbringing for her shyness on screen.  She even had to have a few cocktails before filming the nudity-laden sequence.
