With all the drama going on with Jessica Simpson’s breakup with John Mayer and Nick Lachey’s wildchild girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, you gotta wonder if they miss the good old days of marriage.

It’s not secret that we’ve all hoped for a reunion for the two Newlywed sweethearts.  Ever since their show went off the air and they divorced soon thereafter, there’s been a void in fairytale romance land.

There has been a ton of bad press about Vanessa Minnillo lately, due to her party photos with Lindsay Lohan.  But Nick Lachey has stood by his woman.  She just hopes the creators of her new reality show will follow his lead.

Vanessa has been said to be in talks with producers about putting together a “reality-style” show to document her daily life.  “The show would just follow her around in her day. She really wants to be famous,” leaked an industry insider.

We’ve all done things we regret, whether it’s random hookups, drinking too much, or posing for pictures while Lindsay Lohan holds a knife to your throat.  But most of us haven’t had to answer to the entire world for our indiscretions.  The good news is that Nick Lachey is standing firmly by his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo in the wake of her published party pictures.

From the beginning, Lachey has known Minnillo’s tendencies.  “A lot of Nick’s friends were complaining about what a party girl she was,” says a source. “There were many nights in the beginning when Vanessa was a total mess and Nick didn’t know what to do.”

Nick Lachey may want to keep an eye on his girlfriend in the kitchen.  It appears she has a thing for knives, and that can be dangerous.  It was revealed that the girl holding the knife to Lindsay Lohan’s throat in the party pictures all over the Internet is Vanessa Minnillo.

The brunette cutie may actually be in for some rough times as a result of the photos, which ran yesterday in the New York Post.  Even though they were supposedly from last summer, Minnillo will be facing consequences pertaining to her television career.

It’s that time of year again… time for the hottest ladies from all over the world to converge on the Miss Universe Pageant.  For 2007, Miss Universe has a former pageant beauty to host.  Vanessa Minnillo, 1999 Miss Teen USA, took the stage with co-host Mario Lopez to see what this year had to offer.

Good news for America; Miss USA Rachel Smith is in the top 10, despite taking a spill on the runway.  If Smith takes the title, she’ll be the first Yankee to do so since Brook Lee, back in 1997.  She sported an Elvis jumpsuit and a guitar for the opening parade, giving a nod to her Tennessee roots.
