Stepping out for a swanky evening, Carey Mulligan arrived at the 2012 London Film Critics’ Circle Awards tonight (January 19).
Joined by fellow celebrity Michael Fassbender, the “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” cutie looked adorable in a red dress with white floral accents as she strolled inside the BFI Southbank.
In a recent interview, Carey explained that while she’s had overwhelming success as of late, her beginnings were much more humble.
"I went to boarding school when I was 14. I was a drama geek, I never fell into acting, you know I was obsessed with acting from a really young age. I just wanted to be in musicals and I wore a ‘Les Miserables’ t-shirt for like four years, well into my teens."
She continued, “I applied to drama school instead of university and got rejected from every one. And Drama Center London told me to be a children's TV show presenter."
