Definitely not diminishing in sexiness with age, Cameron Diaz looked picture perfect while out celebrating her 38th birthday in New York City on Monday night (August 30).

Clad in a cute black mini dress, the "Shrek" hottie joined NY Yankees baseballer beau Alex Rodriguez in grabbing a romantic dinner at The Lion on West 9th Street.

Spending a few hours inside the fancy Big Apple eatery, the pair separated as they exited to a pack of paparazzi before heading to A-Rod's apartment for the rest of the night.

The dinner date comes as Rodriguez continues to heal from a minor injury, with expectations for a return to the Yankees lineup by Sunday, September 5.
