Coming as quite the shock, Bruce Springsteen's cousin/assistant road manager was found dead in the singer’s Missouri hotel room on Monday, just before he and his band were taking to the stage to perform.

"Lenny Sullivan, Bruce's cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last 10 years, passed away today at the age of 36," a statement on Springsteen's Web site read. "A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family."

It would appear that personal turmoil equals Grammy nods this year. At least that’s the case for Kanye West and Amy Winehouse. Between his mother dying and her husband being thrown in the slammer, these two were pretty desperate for some good news.

Between the two of them, the “Jesus Walks” rapper and the “Rehab” singer have a total of fourteen nominations (8 for him, 6 for her). And they’re not the only ones with multiple chances to take home an award.

"I sell more records than Bruce Springsteen, sure," Cowell says of the 57-year-old rock star, who reportedly signed a contract that was reported to be in the neighborhood of $100 million.
