Staying strong during a time in which it would have been easy to become emotionally overwhelmed, Bret Michaels' girlfriend Kristi Gibson was just the rock that her rock star beau needed.
Talking about Kristin's impact on the situation, Bret's guitarist pal Pete Evick told People magazine, "In most of our world, Bret's the hero, but in this situation, Kristi was the hero – she saved his life."
Making an amazing recovery, Bret Michaels has reportedly been discharged from the hospital following a life threatening brain hemorrhage.
According to Dr. Joseph Zambraski of the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the former Poison singer is stable and improving while also up and walking again - albeit at a slow pace.
Previously not willing to disclose his location, it has now been revealed that Bret Michaels is recovering from his recent brain hemorrhage at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
And while things are looking on the up and up, physicians are still monitoring the situation closely, as neurosurgeon Dr. Zabramski tells, "There is no doubt that Mr. Michaels’ condition is serious. We are treating the subarachnoid hemorrhage, which caused his severe cranial pain."
Sounding hopeful for his son, Wally Sychak spoke to press after speaking with Bret Michaels after suffering a brain hemorrhage last week.
The father of the rock star said, "The fact that he was talking to me, and giving me information, I thought that was great. On the phone, Michaels "sounded a little slow, but fine," says Sychak. "He was talking, not as cheerful as he usually is. But I guess he is under sedation. But he understood what he was saying and knew me. Everything seemed good that way."Even better news, Sychak explained that his son has began to move his limbs again. "They say he's moving his arms and hands. The best as they could expect at this time."
