Billy Ray Cyrus
As news broke about her parent's divorce, Miley Cyrus was on the air in Chicago promoting her new single "We Can't Stop."
Though the news wasn't positive, Showbiz Shelly, an entertainment reporter for B96 Radio told People magazine, "She [Miley] was in a really good mood, and she was talking about how she worked with Snoop Dogg on her album, and we asked her about her hair and her new look."
Given the news that her mom and dad are splitting up, Miley Cyrus took to her Twitter page in hopes of getting papa Billy Ray Cyrus' attention.
It seems the “Party in the USA” singer hasn’t had much luck contacting her father in the wake of her mom Tish’s divorce filing, but she’s not one to give up easily.
After almost twenty years of marriage, its looks like Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus are officially calling it quits on their romance.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Miley Cyrus' mom pulled the plug on their romance on Thursday (June 13) citing "irreconcilable differences."
Never one to shy away from talking about his beloved progeny, Billy Ray Cyrus spoke about Miley Cyrus' recent drama including marijuana usage and her engagement to Liam Hemsworth.
In an interview with "Access Hollywood" on Thursday (April 25), the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer downplayed the drug rumors, saying, "I look back and think, ‘If the Internet would’ve existed when I was her age I’d probably still be in jail.’”
Though he previously was chided by his daughter for speaking about her relationship, Billy Ray Cyrus again shared what he knew about Miley and Liam Hemsworth's engagement.
While promoting his new memoirs, the country singer told ABC news when asked if the wedding was still on, "I don't know. I know as I was writing a book, I wanted to keep that particular moment [Miley’s wedding] as open-ended as possible. I didn’t know the answer."
It goes without saying that Miley Cyrus was ecstatic when longtime boyfriend Liam Hemsworth dropped down to one knee and popped the question, but Billy Ray Cyrus is happy for the young couple, as well.
When asked about his daughter's fiancé, the 51-year-old country singer replied, "Liam [Hemsworth]'s a great guy. I like Liam a lot. The main thing for me is that both of them are happy. Miley's worked really hard, and I'm enjoying right now seeing her so happy."
Spending some quality time with her parents, Miley Cyrus took fiancé Liam Hemsworth to her father's concert in West Hollywood along with mother, Tish.
The newly blonde 19-year-old wore a black top, leopard-print headband, short shorts, and black combat boots while her beau wore a white t-shirt, blue button-down shirt, and khakis. Billy Ray donned a cowboy hat, black shirt, and jeans for his show.
Fitting in some quality family time, the Cyrus gang stepped out for an evening of Broadway entertainment in Los Angeles on Thursday night (May 24).
With former "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus leading the way, she was joined at the "Chicago" stage show production by dad Billy Ray, mom Tish and sisters Noah and Brandi.
Possibly looking to reclaim his singing career, Billy Ray Cyrus will be making an appearance on "90210" tonight (May 1) as country singer Judd Ridge.
The 50-year-old "Achy Breaky Heart" singer will share the stage with Adriana, who is working on her budding country music career. However, Billy's character seems to make her more nervous with his not-so-encouraging comments.
Tapping one of the past week's hot headlines, last night's (December 3) episode of "Saturday Night Live" had a little fun with Miley Cyrus' "stoner" 19th birthday party.
The NBC sketch comedy brought back "The Miley Cyrus Show" for the parody effort, in which the teen star is depicted saying, “You know you smoke too much f'n weed when your friends get you a Bob Marley cake.”
