There’s no denying that Justin Bieberhas a plethora of adoring fans, but there were a few haters at last night’s (May 19) Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
During the 19-year-old’s acceptance speech for the fan-voted milestone award, a faint sound of boos could be heard in the packed audience.
"I'm 19 years old," Justin told the crowd while accepting the final award of the night. "I think I'm doing a pretty good job."
"This is not a gimmick," the “Boyfriend” singer continued, in a seemingly annoyed tone. "I'm an artist, and I should be taken seriously. This other bull should not be spoken of."
The Biebs did get some love from fellow artist SkyBlu of LMFAO who told reporters, "Does a day go by you don't hear Justin Bieber's name? You've got to give him respect for that."
Despite the crowd’s distaste, Justin took home another prize for Top Male Artist and took the stage for two performances.
