Adding some excitement to this year’s 2012 BET Awards on Sunday (July 1), Usher was one of many performers who took the stage for a little crowd-pleasing entertainment.
The R&B sensation danced about the Shrine auditorium platform as he treated the crowd of peers and fans to his hit single "Climax".
Not only was Usher a performer for the night, but he was also a contender for this year’s Best Male R&B Artist award - though he ended up losing out to Chris Brown.
As for some of the highlights from this year’s entertainment-filled night, actor Samuel L. Jackson was the host of the evening while Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz and Big Sean were just some of the other talent who took the stage.
Making the night all the more memorable, the show also included special tributes to Al Sharpton as the Humanitarian Award honoree and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly as the Life Achievement Award winner. Fallen singing sensation Whitney Houston was also remembered for her incredible contributions to the music business by a heartfelt tribute delivered by her mother.
