Given that “Sex and the City” did so well on HBO, it’s no wonder the prequel series “The Carrie Diaries” is snagging some impressive numbers as well.
According to a report, the CW show hit a new high ratings mark on Monday night (February 4) with 1.55 million viewers (up 12 percent from the previous week).
The ratings boost comes after AnnaSophia Robb and company were panned by critics early on in the season.
The Hollywood Reporter lamented, “It’s kind of quaint and far less cynical than Gossip Girl. It’s just important to remember that – voiceovers and wild dresses aside – the prequel is still a couple of boroughs removed from the original.”
