Angelina Jolie Visits Bosnia, Announces New Movie Plans
Pushing forth with her charitable overseas efforts, Angelina Jolie paid a UNHCR goodwill visit to Sarajevo, Bosnia on Saturday (August 21).
During the trip, the "Salt" actress was granted a sitdown with top officials including the chairman of Bosnia's three-member Presidency, Haris Silajdzic, as well as Jeljko Komsic.
According to NY Daily News reports, the group is said to have spoken about possible education/development programs aimed to help erase the 100,000+ refugees still struggling to get their lives on track following the devastating civil war tearing the country apart fifteen years ago.
Also in Bosnia to seek out proper filming locales, Jolie announced plans to star in a love story taking place during the horrific 1992-1995 Bosnian War.
With production due to begin this autumn, a UNHCR statement explained that "the film is a love story," adding that it revolves around a couple that meets on the eve of the war.
