You’ve heard of O.C.D. (obsessive compulsive disorder) and A.D.H.D. (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), but why has it taken so long for A.C.O.D. (adult children of divorce) to enter our vernacular? Probably because it’s the name of a new movie, and not really a medical condition!
“A.C.O.D.” is comedy that explores the repercussions of growing up in a divorced family. It features an all-star cast including Adam Scott, Richard Jenkins, Catherine O'Hara, Amy Poehler, Jessica Alba, Jane Lynch, Clark Duke and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
The film follows Carter (Scott), a seemingly well-adjusted Adult Child of Divorce, despite his parents' (Jenkins and O'Hara) bitter split. He has a successful career and loving girlfriend (Winstead), but when his younger brother (Duke) gets engaged Carter is forced to reunite his parents for the wedding.
“A.C.O.D.” is scheduled to release in theaters nationwide on October 4, but you can catch the trailer in the player below!
