Giving his fans a little boost heading into the weekend, Phillip Phillips showed up at Rockefeller Plaza for an electrifying performance on “Today” this morning (June 27).

The “Home” singer played his new hit “Raging Fire” as well as “Gone Gone Gone,” and in between songs he chatted with Matt Lauer about his new album Behind the Light.

After health issues plagued his run on "American Idol" last year, season 11 winner Phillip Phillips has cancelled the remaining stops on his current tour.

The 22-year-old musician announced via Facebook on Monday (May 6), "Hey guys, due to doctor's orders I have to postpone my last few tour dates. They will be rescheduled! Looking forward to seeing you all on the John Mayer tour this summer!"

Ryan asked Phillip what he said to his parents after walking off stage and Phillip admitted, “I couldn’t really talk! I think I was still crying. They were just saying ‘We love you, and we’re so proud of you.’ They said ‘We knew it would happen,’ but I didn’t. I never saw any of this ever happening. It’s just so surreal to me.”
