Next month Sam Smith will compete in a handful of categories at the 2015 Grammy Awards, and thankfully he won’t have to share the glory with Tom Petty if he ends up winning.
Earlier this month, the rock legend and co-writer Jeff Lynne were awarded songwriting royalties for Smith’s hit “Stay With Me,” given the fact that parts of the song are blatantly similar to Petty’s own “Won’t Back Down.”
For the past two-and-a-half decades, Pamela Anderson has been considered one of the sexiest ladies in the entertainment business, and it turns out she’s not quite sure how to feel about it.
In a new interview with Parade magazine, the “Baywatch” babe confesses, “That is funny. I’ve never felt pretty enough to be a model. I think I’ve provoked feelings with how I look. But not as a beauty but as a mischievous little rascal! My mom always told me beauty comes from within. And I know that’s maybe a cliché, but I do believe that. And I think that’s what lasts forever.”
Things have changed quite a bit for Sam Smith since he became an international singing sensation, and the “I’m Not the Only One” crooner is featured in the Legacy Project edition of GQ magazine.
Smith noted that he loves creating beautiful songs because it’s better than the alternative- “Make music so you don't have to go to therapy or rehab.” As for his inspirations, Sam explained, “I'm going through a little bit of an obsession at the moment with Frank Sinatra; 2015 is a hundred years since Frank was born.”
