British pop star Adele is convinced her voice is completely different to when she started her career as her vocals changed after her throat surgery and during her pregnancy.

The Rolling In The Deep singer had to cancel a number of concerts and take a break from music so she could undergo surgery on her vocal cords in 2011.

Hollywood veteran Michael Sheen fought back tears as he praised his son Charlie Sheen for his "courage" after he went public with his HIV diagnosis.

The former Two and a Half Men star confirmed long-running rumours about his health on Tuesday (November 17) when he announced he was diagnosed with the disease four years ago.

Taylor Swift has teamed up with bosses at children's publishing company Scholastic to donate 25,000 books to schools around New York City.

The Style singer is leading the organisation's Open a World of Possible initiative, which aims to promote independent reading among kids, and thanks to her support, 25 schools in the Big Apple will each receive 1,000 new children's books for the students.

Zayn Malik has confessed he was always considering an exit from One Direction ever since the formation of the boy band on U.K. talent show The X Factor, insisting no one incident led to his decision.

The 22 year-old shocked fans in March when he quit the group during the Asian leg of a world tour, revealing he simply wanted to live a "normal" life, and rumours about what made him part ways with his bandmates after five years have swirled around ever since.
